Weekday mornings are the quietest
very nice homestay friendly staff perfect service perfect breakfast greatfully personal very good location quiet
I means the rooms are ok bathroom is very basic, but location is good. None of the staff spoke more than basic English when we were there so it made it hard to communicate. My main gripe though was the smell of raw sewage coming directly from our bathroom, it must have been coming from under the floor, as closing the lid on the toilet didn’t help. The staff must have known because the room was saturated with air freshener when we arrived, as someone who’s allergic to fragrance that’s not great! But when we got back latter that night the fragrance has worn off and the smell of raw sewage was overpowering. I managed to reduce the smell by shutting the bathroom door and running the aircon on dry mode. Even so the aircon hardly worked so that wasn’t great. I wouldn’t stay here again when there’s so many great accommodation options nearby.
We were a bit disappointed with our stay. We arrived around 10 PM and asked for the room price, but were quoted a rate higher than what was listed on the apps. The next morning, we were surprised when someone knocked on our door at 11 AM asking to clean the room. It felt a bit rushed and unwelcoming.
I wish I had left early. I stayed here for two nights & the first night was terrible because of the mold (as others have mentioned). The room felt gross & uncomfortable. I've stayed in many guesthouses in Bali, so my standards are not too high in this regard. I was going to leave before the second night, but decided to stick it out, as my booking was nonrefundable & the location is very good. The second night I came back to my room to find an email from my bank that someone had used my debit card to try to make purchases over $3k USD. I immediately checked my wallet to find my bank card gone. I had left my card in the room with the door locked. When I came back, the door was still locked. Clearly, someone with a key had gone through my possessions & taken the card. Thankfully, my bank locked the card, but I am now without my only way to get cash from ATMs as a solo woman traveling. I wish I had not stayed another night, as the price is not worth having things stolen. I would not trust the owners or staff of this establishment. Additionally, there was some drama with the staff & other guests & shouting matches in the public spaces my first morning. I would steer clear of this place.
I booked a private room with my own bathroom for 3 nights. The room was basic with comfortable bed and functional AC. They only cleaned the room once and never changed the towel. The location was perfect: short walking distance (7 min) to the beach. Through them I rented a bike for a very cheap price. Nice family/staff who were very friendly and customer oriented. After check out, they let me take a shower after I came back from the beach. All in all very good for the price you pay.
