Weekday mornings are the quietest
The morning shift security is the guy, so handsome & warm. He knows good photo angles and offered us a hand. The prices are decent, and if I can recommend you a coffee, then you have to try Palm Sugar Oat Latte, it might be the most expressive coffee I’ve ever had in Bali.
I can say this place is not overrated at all, it’s worth it. The pastries are heavenly delicious! And the place is really nice and aesthetically pleasing. When I was arrived here, at 8 AM on Monday, there’s no line at all. I can easily take pictures and order my food easily, they care a lot about our needs on each menu. Nice place to have brunch and talk.
A warm welcoming from the staff. This place is very well organised and prioritised on the customer service. Foods was good (chesscake + coconut latte). I got the sample of fruit juice (orange etc), it was good. Will definitely recommend
I visited this place with a friend on a Friday morning around 10am for breakfast. We didn't have a reservation and were told there would be at least a 20-minute wait, but could sit in the waiting area. That area is unfortunately right next to a construction site in the back, which wasn't very comfortable. After about 10 minutes we were seated and asked if we were okay sharing a table with other guests. While I generally don't mind shared tables, we ended up at a large table shared by several different parties. Combined with how busy, loud, and crowded the space already was, it felt quite overwhelming and had a bit of an assembly-line atmosphere. The café itself is nicely designed in a rustic, wooden style, but due to how packed it was, the overall vibe felt stressful rather than cozy. Conversation was difficult because of the noise level. Service felt rather slow. The coffee was genuinely good, and the banana bread was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I've had noticeably better breakfast and coffee in Canggu, Pererenan, and the surrounding area over the last years. While I appreciate that the staff asked before seating us at a shared table, and it ultimately was our choice, the combination of crowding, noise, and hype took away from the experience. For me, this isn't a place I'd return to for a relaxed breakfast.
I really wanted to love this place, especially since my first visit (before it became an an 'Insta hit') was much better. Unfortunately, my second and most recent visit was quite disappointing. I understand why it’s famous online, but I care most about the food quality, and unfortunately, it seems to have declined. I must say, however, that the staff were consistently friendly and nice throughout our visit. We spent over 500K IDR on breakfast, which I don't mind if the food is excellent, but paying that much for a poor meal was frustrating: Avo on Toast with Extra Salmon: The sourdough was incredibly hard and burnt in places. The avocado was plain and had a bitter taste. I couldn't finish the meal. Brisket Bagel: The beef brisket was tough as hell, and the bagel itself was also very chewy. The dominant flavour was just overpowering mustard. Green Smoothie: Had a very weird taste and we couldn't finish it. The Almond Croissant was better than the rest, but even that wasn't as creamy and delicious as the one I had on my first visit when the cafe was quieter. It feels like the focus is now on the aesthetics/hype rather than consistent food quality. I would hesitate to recommend it now, which is a shame.
