I love this cafe - or better say, I loved it… 😔💔 A year ago my boyfriend and I stayed in Sanur for a week and worked from here almost every day, ordering a lot. The food quality back then was excellent. We never had any issues like the ones mentioned in some reviews (raw eggs or bad sandwiches). Everything was consistently great.😊 This year I was really excited to bring my friend and show her how amazing this place is. Unfortunately, the experience was quite different. From the moment we arrived, the staff felt a bit too pushy - there were several people at the counter watching and waiting, which made it slightly uncomfortable. When we ordered, the food quality and taste were not as good as before. Overall, it felt just so-so compared to our previous visits. That said, the fries with seaweed are still very good, and the smoothies are absolutely amazing. My favorite dish is the shakshuka (similar to Turkish eggs), but I would kindly suggest using less garlic and making it a bit less liquid - it would really improve the balance of flavors. I also ordered a cookie, and it was warmed without asking. Usually, cookies are served cold unless requested otherwise, so it might be nice to double-check with customers before heating pastries like cookies or muffins. One last thing that was a bit distracting: two staff members were singing quite loudly for a long time. I understand Bali has very talented and cheerful people, but the volume made it hard to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, and honestly made us want to leave sooner than planned. I still appreciate the smoothies and some menu items, but I hope the cafe can bring back the quality and calm vibe it had before. From your customer with love 😌
It is a very good café which serves tasty breakfast. Indor is smal and they have only 3 table which i think it is not enough and outdoor is hot. Price is more than average and it is not reasonable.
After almost two years in Sanur, we finally discovered Canvas Cafe – and honestly, I can’t understand why we ever ate anywhere else. I don’t even know what to praise first – the absolutely outstanding and well-trained staff with fluent English, big smiles, precision and speed, or the perfectly balanced flavors of every dish and drink we’ve had so far. The location is also great – tucked away from the busy tourist main street, which long-term expats will especially appreciate. It’s clear the owner has created something truly special here. One huge bonus is the way the team actually works together – no one is lazily hanging around on their phone like you often see in Bali. Service is attentive and coordinated. And the food is served to both me and my partner at the same time – which is a big win, since in 99% of other places on Bali they bring one dish first and the other 10 minutes later. Massive respect – amazing job, well done!
Very cozy, cute cafe 😍 Great location. Beach nearby. We ordered a smoothie ball and poachsuka, oat cappuccino and long black. All the food is delicious and fresh. There are also fresh pastries, for which we will definitely come back later. Clean toilet 👍🏻 Thank you for your concern 🩷
The service was warm and thoughtful—staff kindly offered me a glass of ice water since I ordered a smoothie bowl. The bowl itself was super fresh, topped with a variety of ingredients that made it naturally sweet, crunchy, and wholesome. I also loved the ambience; the music was soft and not too loud, perfect for reading or getting some work done
