The place is really chill and relaxing 😌 Their coffee was not bad also U get to pet luwak cat but please be gentle to the animal 🥺
I would like to share my honest experience for people considering visiting this place. I came here for a coffee mainly to see the animal and understand the conditions it lives in, hoping this place would be less tourist-oriented and more respectful than other similar locations. When I arrived, the animal was sleeping peacefully. During my visit, however, several tourists tried to wake it up by putting food in front of its nose to make it react. This felt uncomfortable to watch, as the animal seemed to be disturbed regularly by visitors throughout the day. I also asked the staff about its routine and was told that the animal spends the night in a cage, even though this is normally when it is active. It is mainly brought out during the day when tourists are present. It also felt like the animal was treated as if it were a domestic pet, like a cat or a dog, while it is in fact a wild animal. Even if it is not constantly confined, its presence seems primarily used as a tourist attraction. For this reason, I personally would not recommend this place if you are concerned about animal welfare.
My Favorite Coffee Stop in Bali! 🌿 I absolutely loved this place! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and passionate — they explained the different blends and even helped me choose the best ones to take home. I ended up buying so much coffee because everything smelled and tasted amazing — each blend had its own unique story and flavor. You can feel the care and authenticity that goes into their craft. The cozy bamboo interior, the lush green decor, and the calm, earthy energy make it such a beautiful experience. Whether you’re a coffee lover or just curious to explore Bali’s local coffee culture, Balistar Coffee is a must-visit. Highly recommend it for great coffee, great service, and a true taste of Bali! #BalistarCoffee #BaliCoffee #BaliCafe #UbudCoffee #AlwaysInYogaFlow #CoffeeLovers #MindfulTravel #SupportLocalBali #CoffeeExperience
My partner is a coffee lover, so we decided to give it a try ☕️. Personally, I don’t drink coffee often, so it tasted just like any other coffee to me. My partner thought it smelled nice, but wouldn’t say it was anything particularly special. The fun part was having the luwak sit on your shoulder, it’s really heavy though! Side note: it does bite a little, but it doesn’t hurt. The only downside was that I felt a bit bad for the luwak as it had to keep stay on the high table; it kept trying to get down but the table was too tall. A PLUS for the fact that there are cats! 🐈
I was surprised to see a pet civet cat working at the store! He even let me ride on his shoulder, which was an unexpected surprise for free. The coffee was absolutely delicious, and I was able to spend a relaxing time in a quiet space in the bustling street.
