There are cafés in Bali where the coffee is treated with monk-like reverence and the clientele appears to have arrived directly from a Scandinavian furniture catalogue. This cafe is not one of those places, and thank goodness for that. Instead, it occupies a comfortable niche in Denpasar’s ecosystem where the vibe is relaxed, the coffee flows reliably, and the crowd resembles the IT department of a horror film, rather than the front row of a fashion week. The cold brew arrives with a flourish of French Vanilla Cream Cold Brew, which sounds so refined you half expect it to have studied abroad. Naturally, the presence of the word French increases the price slightly, a tradition observed globally by cafés who understand that a little continental flair can add several thousand rupiah to any beverage. Still, the drink is good. Smooth, cold, and gently sweet, it does exactly what a cold brew should do, which is to quietly restore faith in caffeine while convincing you that paying extra for vanilla cream was a perfectly rational decision. The fries appear next, and here we encounter a charming Balinese culinary theme: the slightly undercooked fry. Not disastrously raw, not rebelliously crunchy, just existing in that philosophical middle ground where potatoes are still considering their options. One suspects this may be a regional interpretation of the dish, much like al dente pasta but with more existential uncertainty. And yet the place works. The atmosphere is loose, unpretentious, and pleasantly indifferent to whether you’re here to work, talk, or simply stare at your phone while pretending to answer emails. Around the room sit Denpasar’s assorted creatives, coders, and late-afternoon philosophers, all contributing to an ambience that feels comfortably hip without the exhausting need to prove it. In short, 9-11 is the sort of place where the coffee is solid, the fries are still negotiating with the fryer, and the crowd gives the room just enough character to keep things interesting. Is it perfect? No. But it is undeniably cool in that slightly chaotic Denpasar way. Go for the cold brew. Stay for the atmosphere. And if the fries seem slightly undecided about their level of doneness, just remember that in Bali, even the potatoes are taking things easy.
The food here is delicious and delicious. The presentation is 5-star standard. The drinks are varied and the Americano coffee is delicious with quality beans. The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy, and pleasant.
Very nice spot. Very good service. Nice size menu. Matcha could be prepared a little better and should be served without sugar as the traditional way says so. Sugar as extra option because the Indonesians (locals) love sweet. Sandwiches are tasty and big. Coming back for sure.
The mocha blanc is damn serious game. Best mocha I’ve had in my life, ordered 3 cups itself today, would definitely come back again and again for it. Food? Wonderful. Minus one of the staff member were rather rude at the approach. Probably due to high volume of visits today but still would be great if she welcomed and assisted us warmly. Most of them were amazing and helpful otherwise.
