Food Zampano nails a few things really well, starting with the coffee. Smooth, rich, and well-balanced—whether you go for a freddo espresso or a flat white, it’s clear they know what they’re doing behind the bar. The surprise star? The katsu sandwich. It’s crispy, juicy, and stacked just right between soft bread with tangy slaw and sauce that gives it a bit of punch. Not your average brunch item in Athens, and honestly, that’s what makes it fun. But the Greek yogurt—which you'd think would be a safe bet—goes a bit off-track. It’s good quality yogurt, but the toppings are extra sweet, almost cloying. Syrupy fruit, heavy-handed honey/syrup… it tips from refreshing to dessert territory pretty fast. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you might love it. If not, it’s a bit much for breakfast. Service Service is warm and attentive, with that laid-back Athenian pace. You won’t feel rushed, but your coffee and food arrive in good time. Staff are friendly and happy to make recommendations or tweak orders if needed. Ambiance Zampano has that perfect blend of rustic charm and cool, with exposed brick, cozy lighting, and plenty of greenery. It’s tucked into the lively Psirri neighborhood, which adds a bit of buzz to the laid-back vibe. It feels like a spot where locals linger and travelers stumble in and decide to stay a while. The Takeaway Zampano’s a great spot for a slow morning or midday break in Athens. The coffee is excellent, the katsu sandwich is a sleeper hit, and the setting is effortlessly chill. Just maybe skip the yogurt unless you’re in the mood for something very sweet.
Zampano, casual eatery serving breakfast, brunch and lunch from 8 am until 4 pm. The Greek salad in particular was outstanding and the granola was excellent as well.
Amazing Brunch Spot! I had a fantastic brunch experience here! The menu offers both sweet and savory options, along with fresh juices and delicious coffee perfect for any mood or craving. I ordered the brioche, and it was just right. The portion size was satisfying without being too heavy. The brioche itself was sweet with a hint of citrus that paired beautifully with the fluffy texture and the berry compote. Absolutely delightful! I also had the orange, carrot, and ginger juice it tasted super fresh, like it was made right on the spot with real, quality ingredients. The ambiance is calm and welcoming, with great music playing in the background. There are plenty of tables for 2 or 4 people, but also larger setups for groups of 7 or more, making it a great place whether you’re coming with a friend or a whole crew. The staff are super friendly and speak English, which makes things really easy if you’re visiting. They’re happy to give recommendations if you’re not sure what to order, which I really appreciated.
Woww amazing restaurant! Beautiful place, amazing service and the Chef interpretation of the classic dishes like Greek salad, Mousaka, Vasco chesee cake and amazing Grilled Octopus was awesome, so different and tasty. We enjoy the place so much. Woww. Please run...to this place.
Superb choice for brunch/breakfast when visiting Athens/Acropolis area. We were very pleased with the taste and quality of the food starting with the French fries, Eggs Benedict and egg-white omelets. Highly recommend! Wait staff is super attentive and provided top notch service. Would definitely eat there again.
