Select Cafe

Yo. I wasn’t gonna say anything.
But nah — this one needs to be on blast. We pulled up to Café Old Select, just looking for a chill moment — some food, a drink, vibe a little. Instead, we got hit with a tourist hustle so lazy it was almost insulting. Because somewhere between us asking for “the check”,
they decided we asked for a Jack Daniels. Yeah. Seriously. Waiter looked us dead in the face, brought a whiskey, and said: “Oh, I thought you said Jack.” Bro. Be for real.
Ain’t no one asking for Jack at 3PM with pancakes. What they did: – Billed us for a Jack Daniels we never ordered
– Slid a Mojito onto the receipt — never seen, never tasted
– Handed us two mismatched receipts
– Acted cool like nothing was wrong Classic scam playbook:
Fake confusion. Add items. Charge extra. Smile. Move on. But not today. Let’s call it what it is: Not bad service.
Not a mix-up.
It’s a rehearsed scam. They see tourists and think, “easy money.”
Wrong table. To tourists: Don’t go here. Seriously.
This ain’t a café — it’s a cash grab with tables. You’ll order a drink. They’ll serve you drama.
And if you’re too polite to check the receipt?
That’s when they win.

Friendly stuff, however I watched the waiter repacking the ice cream with his bear hands….Nice touch 😂
