Weekday mornings are the quietest
Odori is an incredible spot for pizza, wine, and people watching. Staying across the street, there wasn't a time when it wasn't busy - but was always able to be seated. The service was remarkably quick, and every server was attentive - you didn't have to wait too long for anyone to check on you, and the food was ready in a hurry. I can't speak to the pasta, but the pizza was cooked perfectly, and there was a great wine list for pairing. It you're there on the weekend for dinner, expect it to be loud and busy - it's maybe not the best spot for quiet conversation, but the atmosphere and service were fantastic. No one was panicked at all. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area for a great meal at a reasonable price.
If you go there, go for the pizza — not the pasta! My friends who ordered pizza really liked it. I ordered the gnocchi con truffle, and honestly, it was bad. Like, really bad. The gnocchi was fried, and to make things worse, underneath the sauce there were tons of mushrooms, seriously, way too many. There were maybe ten gnocchi pieces in the whole dish, if that. And it wasn’t cheap either. When the waitress asked if I liked it, I said no and that I ordered gnocchi, not mushrooms. I left the place hungry and still paid a lot for that disappointing plate. Another friend also got pasta, and it wasn’t good either, it tasted like a 5-minute instant pasta, totally bland. The sauce had a weird texture too. On the bright side, the staff were nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. But if you’re looking for a proper Italian meal, this isn’t the place. You might enjoy the pizza, though!
Absolutely excellent food and great value. Highlights were the buratta and strawberry salad, and the cacio e pepe spaghetti… GO!
Amazing cocktails, best pizza I’ve had in downtown Athens and a great selection of appetisers (focaccia was to die for). The Bloody Mary were killers and we did finish most of the food apart from the carbonara whose sauce was a bit blunt in taste. Other than that, great atmosphere, great and kind staff and overall we had a wonderful experience. We will return!
We just happened to come across this place in our wanderings and went in for a draft beer. We got so much more. I hadn't even realized that Odori specialize in Vermouth. As well as having a huge selection of bottled Vermouth, they make their own blends and they are delicious. I sampled a few of the cocktails created by the staff here and they were incredible. Honestly each was as good or better than the last. The drinks were innovative and scrumptious. But, then we tried a pizza and that just put Odori over the top. Best Pizza either of us has ever had (Tom Collins pizza). Amazing! The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I love this place! Worth a trip to Athens just for this experience. We were there early and sat at the bar. It did become quite crowded. Understandably. FABULOUS!
