Nice butcher shop at reasonable prices. It had very nice ground beef from the local butcher shop and it was very affordable.
I have been a customer for quite some time, very happy except for some mistakes that were made due to acquired speed, perhaps in terms of cutting method and quantity (always very much upwards). In the last few orders I had a problem with the temperature I received. e.g. minced meat as if frozen, minced lamb as a cream pink, very soft and tasteless. Last time I ordered tripe 2 kilos and a leg of veal another two kilos. Also a calf's tail with bone for my grandchildren's soup. As well as minced meat (which was really delicious as always) I received a phone call that there was no tripe belly and they suggested that they put a little more leg in. The result was that I They sent over 4.5 kilos of veal leg. Of course I did not receive it and they asked me to pay shipping costs since after removing the tripe I did not complete the Free shipping amount. What alarmed me was that when I opened the order I saw that instead of 1 kilo I had received 1.5 kilos of veal tail with bone (picture attached) completely frozen. In addition to the fact that I could not cut it, I could not even let it thaw and refreeze it, it was frozen and not fresh as the label said. On the phone I received and in the question since you wrote FRESH MEAT from HELLENIC VEAL I got 3 different Answers from 3 different associates. 1st. We send the line as we receive it. 2nd. The fresh product was finished and we put in frozen. 3rd. From the owner, according to his confession, what do you want now, ma'am? That's what we had, that's what we sent. However, when I told him that it was frozen and besides that he should have informed me and that it is a market law offense to order and write fresh and receive frozen, he replied: Now what do you want? To fire the employee for a mistake she made? To sue me. Of course I filed a complaint with the Hellenic Food and Consumer Protection Authority but nothing. At least I should have known that I was buying frozen products (regardless of the price) and not to handle them as fresh. e.g. defrosting and then re-freezing. Too bad, too bad, too bad. I stopped of course because it made me question the quality of their meat, especially in such a sensitive quality issue.
Pleased with the service and the promptness of the order. The store does not display the full variety of meats and sometimes you feel that they do not have everything. However, their quality is very good!
I HAVE been a customer for quite some time. The last order came with a delay of several hours (due to holidays which I completely understand regardless of whether we waited from 12:00 to 16:00 but it came at 20:30). The time the distributor called me, if he remembers, was around 19:30 and I told him I was in Alimos) - he told me that it would be after 1 hour from me since I was not home (it makes sense that I would not be) - In Alimos there is another large butcher shop and I had gone there to shop since I had no contact with New Tastes. - Save it for later on the subject of time What I find unacceptable is that I asked for a pork leg AKOPO and 3 pieces came. I had a table the next day but I managed to manage it. I sent them an email asking them to contact me, but no response. Did they take the money and where did you see them? The next unacceptable thing I saw today in the photos I'm listing. Unfortunately, I didn't put the meat in the freezer and I didn't see it then. What you see is what the butcher considers "schnitzel". The meat is full of fat, cut in an unacceptable way and it also STINKS! I know that the answer I'll get from the person in charge is "did you leave it out of the fridge for too long" - no sir, you who spent so many hours with my meat, did it spoil? Should you have informed me that you don't have the product I'm asking for? Should you have informed me that you don't have the products I'm asking for (like the pork leg) in whole?, should you have called me when I sent you the email? Unfortunately, the person who brought them to me is the same gentleman who appears on TikTok. Good viewing my dear but if the quality is lost to catch up with the quantity (of money) you are all simply unacceptable. You have my details, if you want, contact me. Update 8/1/24: The lawyer I spoke to told me not to proceed with a complaint because I will get in trouble because I cannot prove some things (correctly) Anyway, they "contacted" me. I was not able to explain many things and everything was as I expected, a person on the other end of the line who did not tell me my name with an aggressive style of do whatever you want, we do not care. The fact that the meat smelled is certainly my fault because cars are refrigerators, they have thermometers, etc., the cut doesn't matter, what do I know about the right meat for schnitzel... I'm probably an ignorant consumer to them. He even told me why I didn't contact them directly. I called several times but always got an answering machine (what can I do since I work long hours too...) I explained to him that I didn't wait that long and I sent an email the next day when I saw what was happening to the meat. A professional response: "and if it went to spam! Oh, all of you with emails. So you're checking your emails all day?" I won't tell you how to do your job, nor do I belittle any employee. But this response is not befitting of a professional from a customer who has a problem. Since they didn't respond on the same day about the delay in the order, they didn't respond to my first contact (via email) either, as soon as I left them a message on their answering machine about the sanitary (which I admit I've been to their store and they're spotless, I'm not saying that ironically) - they called! So far I haven't had any issues with you, on the contrary I was quite satisfied. However, as someone else wrote in the comments (in a fairly laconic way) - "bad boss" Too bad...
I have been a happy customer for a long time. They already have good quality, the prices are reasonable and the staff is polite and helpful.
