Just about the best shop of its kind in Athens, probably in Greece, too! Polite, helpful staff.

This is a chain of shops with all sorts of goodies for the serious crafts person and indie jeweller. They're all practically next to each other and each have got a specialty: the first one has all sorts of Swarovski crystals and laces, the next one has precious gemstones and silver fixings (from rings to earrings to chains), and the last one has all sorts of chords, beads, coated fixings and wire wrapping materials. Whatever it is you need, you're most likely to find it here. However, you should be aware of a few things: 1) there's a minimum quantity for every thing you get, so if you only want to get a pair of hooks for a set of earrings you're making, you're likely to end up getting enough for a few pairs. 2) They're pretty suspicious of customers, so they may follow you around to make sure you're not shop lifting. It was kind of insulting for a full-grown woman. 3) It's a chain of shops that professionals mainly go to get their materials, so it's always packed.

Best place in town for DIY material - a real oasis for creative souls. Two floors, enormous choice, helpful friendly staff, very affordable prices, Greek products, second shop around corner in case... Creatives traveling to Athens just for shopping at Diva, no joke.
