Very nice food selection at the deli counter. Good varied menu. Friendly attentive staff. Regularly visit.

On my way to Athens Doctors Hospital I called here for cuppa and breakfast of sorts. Not fancying any cheesy things + their English not too good ( my Greek non existent) I settled for Pain aur raisen - very nice. Lovely friendly helpful people. Nice relaxing place although right on busy road. Definitely worth a try. ENJOY

We popped in for a quick lunch, without any reservation. We chose to sit indoors, and luckily there was a couple that were leaving, and we ended up getting their table. We were attended as soon as we stepped in. The service staff were very attentive, although busy with both indoor and outdoor customers, we were never made to wait. I had a lamb kebab, and my daughter had a pork dish. Both dishes came in big portion, full of flavour, and we didn't finish them. My daughter had 2 fruit cocktails, she was impressed with the taste and the size. she managed to polish off a cheesecake, which she said was really good . For 2 dishes, 2 cocktails, a coffee, cheesecake, and a cola, our bill was below €35. Highly recommended.

Well....the word homemade is kinda ironic, because from what I saw the street food element is pretty visible. Something that I actually like. I had a bad impression firstly, judging by the price of their pies, but later I changed my mind when I bought the sandwich. 2.50 Euros with 4 ingredients, when in everest it costs like 3.50!!! And it was as big as everest's. Finally, the woman working there during the night shift...I admired her courage tbh. She had this fake smile, and I even made a comment about it, but she didn't lose her cool...well congrats!!! PS: I wonder what kind of sandwich is this greenish one I posted in one of my pics.
