Coffee Island

I drink this coffee many years now.. this specific shop tho aren’t suppose to serve coffee. They destroy the coffee taste. Full of ice and wasted coffee. The barista girl does not know how to make coffee. Even the coffee island of Lefkada are more qualified and they now how to make the beverages. Don’t waste your time going here. Not for coffee or other beverages. Try another branch of them or better try Carpo in kolonaki.

Today, as I was waiting at Coffee Island for my single cappuccino to go, I started looking for my wallet in order to pay when, to my panic, I found out that it was gone! I had just been shopping at Ermou street, so I figured that it had been stolen from an open-ended bag I was carrying, but what I want to say here is that the three young female assistants at Coffee Island graciously and smilingly insisted that I sit and enjoy my coffee without paying... Obviously I was distraught with about the loss. After much resistance (as I did not want to create a problem for them), I accepted and enjoyed my cappuccino. Of course I am giving 5 stars for the service! No atmosphere to speak of, though, because the place is small, with two of its four sides open, one to Stadiou street which is fine, and the other open to a rather dark passageway leading to a building entrance -- so 3 stars.

While there are literally hundreds of coffee shops around Greece, we found Coffee Island to be not only very good, but all the staff were very friendly. There was always a Coffee Island within walking distance to wherever we were staying. Athens. Thessaloniki. Alexandroupoli. Etc.

Great coffee! Had an Espresso Fredo and it was very good. Nice little selection of snacks. The also sell some coffee accessories.

Fair pricing. Delicious coffee. Good snacks. Great service and willing to bend the menu to your liking. Always had my eye out for them in Athens was happy to have one within 2 minutes from our apartment.
