Went to see the statue of Athena, walked thru the park & got really hungry. Searched for open lunch places & found this great place that had freshly made food. Amazing sausage, hummus, beans, & eggplant dip. It was a great atmosphere & they were very kind to us hungry Americans.

Ok, it might not be in the Acropolis area and it doesn't feature fancy interiors. But their food is homemade and it tastes great. Plus, it is ridiculously cheap. If you don't mind sitting casually in a cafeneion-style restaurant, this is a perfect spot for your everyday lunch or dinner in the Gyzi area.

We absolutely loved this place! Delicious food, great ambience with local dishes and lots of vegetarian options. The price is also fair and the staff is very kind. We ordered the baby potatos, the mushrooms and the dolmadakia. The place was full of people but we found a table for ourselves and the service was fast. A must go when in Athens!

If you're looking for a casual pub good for small groups in a quiet side street, this fits the bill. The service was friendly but could have been a bit more polished or efficient. The seating areas had a lovely view with open air but the chairs were extremely stiff and uncomfortable, but this could also be due to a chronic back issue I have that is exacerbated by these types of chairs. The food was good and paired well with the raki. Just one warning about the raki - you'll feel it tomorrow.

Just wow! Are you in Athens, then this is a must, omg so good. Each dish was better than the one before. Don't get a menu ask the staff, they are helpful and kind. Beer, wine, salad, cheese, bread, beef, chicken, pork, oh try the smoked trout. If I lived here you would find me here. Had to come back and highly suggest the grilled mushrooms and I don't even like mushrooms 🤣
