A great dining experience in great location! I wasn't too hungry, so I went for just the seafood platter. It was a delectable selection of Greek treasures from the ocean, with the fried items done just right and not overdone to the point of being dry and tough. That also meant some of the heads of the fried shrimps weren't crispy enough to eat, but that's a trade-off, not a deficiency. Service was great from the friendly staff, and they even provided us with a nice wine liqueur and dessert. The latter was a delicious creamy flan-like pudding, not too sweet. It was cold this time of the year in Athens, so adequate heating was provided to keep outdoor seating comfortable; I was even warm enough in my particular spot to take off my jacket. And you do want to sit outdoors, as the restaurant is right next to the Ancient Agora and its museum, and in full view of the Acropolis. Streams of warm LED lighting also add to the wonderful atmosphere. Let's not forget the adorable cats, a feature of the Athenian dining experience. Yes, they demand your dinner as tribute, but they look healthy and cared for, so it's not like they're starving. Cats and ancient ruins somehow pair so well, like food and wine. Given all this and the great time I've had, I'd say prices are quite reasonable. A highly recommended place!
Our expectations were just to eat some very good greek food, sadly the restaurant ruined our first night with food that was basically inebible. I have ordered feta cheese fried, with honey. Sadly it has arrived uncooked, the pastry it was wrapped in was completely RAW, literally so raw that I had to unwrap the cheese from the pastry and eat the single feta cheese alone, which made the whole thing sad. My partner has ordered a gyros plate as well, turns out they make you pay more if you want it with chicken, which would be completely okay with us if they did not serve a bit of mayo with yoghurt mixed as the sauce, and the meat would not be ice cold, it was not even lukewarm but cold. On top of that the gyros plate is not served with fries, only with pita, ehich would be okay if they did serve it with enough sides. In our case it was a quarter of tomato, which was found under a pita slice and half an onion sliced as well. The portions for the prices are disgusting. When we spoke up they said the fries are not included and we would have to pay an extra 5.5 euros for it. The waiters are nice and you get complimentary bread with oil and a little dessert after your meal, but it does not compensate at all. Very very sad. Avoid.
In our stay in Athens we come here for lunch and dinner. Have been trying many places but still that one is our favourite :good food and drinks , great view and it's friendly to the stray cats which is very important for us that's why we come back there.
Omg not only were the plates plentiful but the price was very reasonable and then he started bringing house dessert and hot wine that was amazingly good. Definitely stop here and the view was great also. On the back of the acropolis and you walk thru so many ruins to get there.
Good food, great views of the Erecthion. Staff were very friendly and treated me very well. It was a great intro to my first time in Greece especially Athens. Lots of choices and food. They had misters which kept it a little on the cooler and more pleasant. (Super hot in Athens in August). I walked by a couple days later they actually remembered me.
