Informal cafe serving hot & cold craft coffees from beans roasted in-house, plus croissants & cakes....
I will start by saying, this is a nice space to get work done, or have a chat. However, I ordered a dirty chai, was the worst dirty chai I’ve ever had(I get this ALOT) I took it back and one guy(the taller one), instead of apologizing or asking me if I want anything else, rolled his eyes at me and said “hAVe YoU eVeR HAd a ChAi??” In a degrading manner, then “maybe a latte would just be better for you” ?? To me, this was very rude and he had a bad vibe from the moment of stepping up to the counter in the first place. His coworker made up for it however by asking in depth questions about what I liked and didn’t like and remade it, no problem without an extra charge. And from the beginning his coworker was very very nice and you can tell he’s really into coffee and really made the experience very enjoyable from the beginning and made me excited to have a coffee here. His coworker, however, made me never want to come back.
One of Amsterdam’s specialty coffee spots where you can find a great variety of high-quality coffees. Highly recommended.
White label coffee. Interior designed by someone with seriously great taste — multi split-level, wood everywhere, functional yet cozy. Great coffee, warm service. Spacious — yes, even the toilet, which is worth mentioning because taking a three-year-old there can be a full-blown mission for my wife.
Funky place, nice ambient electro music playing over the sound system to drink your coffee to. I had a flat white of the Brazil beans that were in one grinder. Full body, extremely smooth. As an Australian, I can say it's a proper flat white (I've drunk some awful attempts at other places while on this European holiday). Was perhaps a little less hot than is preferable (quite a lot of temperature headroom before the milk would scald), but on this particular day when it was over 30° outside, I was actually quite happy to drink it at that temperature. Venue looks kind of small from the front, but there's a whole back section up and over past the counter
Really really unique cafe. Especially in terms of way to utilize the space. And they serve good drinks and cookies. But no decaf is available. Generally excellent but it might not be a cozy place. And the door for the toilet makes nozy sound.
