Humble canalside budget hotel in an art nouveau style building offering a 24/7 bar & a restaurant....
We got a room with carpet, it smelled mold and cigarette the whole night. It is not a place for a family, specially since there's a common shower and WC. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights, but we checked out already early the next morning. Only positive I can say is that they have breakfast. This is more a hostel for adults who don't mind noise, carpets that smell mold, smoke and sharing a shower and a toilet. My advice, find something else, we did.
We stayed at the hotel for a few days and really enjoyed it! For those who appreciate simplicity and good value for money, this is the right place. The reception staff is kind and helpful, the breakfast is simple but tasty and well organized, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is GREAT, close to many of the cityβs attractions. On top of that, the view from our room was of a beautiful church. I would definitely come back!
Simple breakfast, but very tasty, great location and amazing view from the room! Cleaning and organisation of the hotel and room left nothing to be desired, friendly and helpful reception service, I recommend it to those looking for an excellent cost benefit! π€©
Four nights in a shared room. Exactly as expected, seen a few reviews of rude staff, but guys were great with us, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast basic, but enough to get you started for the day. I found that if I said hello, and made an effort to talk to the staff, they engaged. Rooms aren't pristine, but it's not the Hilton..... you gets what you pay for. Big plus for us, about 12 minutes from the station on foot, didn't matter where we wandered we always seemed to be a few minutes from the hotel, beer reasonably priced and bar open all the time, close to everything you'd want to be indulging in while in the Dam! Just watch out for those cyclists.....π
Recently stayed in a twin share room. The check in procedure was super easy and the guy was really friendly. They also held our bags for us until we could check in. Location is superb but probably not family friendly. The room was a good size, comfy beds. There was a shared toilet and shower on the floor which were both clean. Extremely steep and tricky stairs to get up to the different floors. We had 2 largest suitcases, we made it work but not for the faint hearted π There is no aircon so can get quite warm in the hotter months. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the bar downstairs is also super cosy. Would definitely stay again!
