Weekday mornings are the quietest
This coffee bar is fairly new; I think they opened a couple of weeks ago. Inside, it's really beautiful and well-maintained. The staff are kind and helpful. The place advertises itself as green, sustainable, and above all, quiet, allowing its customers to relax. Just a couple of notes about being green and sustainable. We ordered two salmon sandwiches for takeout, but they were wrapped in aluminum foil. Please don't use aluminum foil to wrap food; it's extremely toxic! Also, keeping the air conditioning on full blast with the doors open isn't exactly ideal. Close the door or turn off the air conditioning, please. The sandwiches were really good, but the pickled cucumbers were missing, although mentioned on the menu. The yogurt bowl we ordered was unfortunately quite empty. Only five small pieces of banana instead of "seasonal fruit" as described. Not a lot of homemade granola, either. There's room for improvement for sure but they're definitely on the right track.
Nice place in the Vondelpark for an ok lunch or a coffee while walking through the park
Hidden gem in the Vondelpark, recent renovation is amazing. Recommended for a coffee/lunch/browsing the store and also offers interesting classes and seminars
Nice place and delicious sandwiches, would be great if there was some pour-over coffee!
A healthy tea house that uses organic and vegetarian ingredients. It has both indoor and terrace seating, making it a perfect spot to relax after a walk in Vondelpark. I recommend trying the 12 uurtje โ a light Dutch lunch set that usually includes soup, fresh bread, and salad.
