The Greek Embassy

We got here without a reservation but the staff was so kind and managed to find a spot for us. Everything was very tasty and the portions were generous. Also the wine was great! We will definitely come again!

The food is tasty but the main dishes only contain a portion of meat, mayonnaise sauce, and 2 entire cherry tomatoes. Quite dissapointing for a 21 euro dish. Everything else (water, salad, pita, potatoes) should be ordered as a side dish at significant cost... The place was also cold, with the heaters barely working and condensation on the insides of all the windows. The squeegee and towel in the window showed that the staff is well aware of this issue. Perhaps if you charge expensive restaurant prices, you could offer an expensive restaurant experience. All in all, a lack of hospitality unworthy of the "Greek embassy" title.

This is a great spot if you’re looking for decent food and very generous portions. The Greek salad was incredibly fresh and came in a massive portion, though it could have used a bit less feta for my taste. The pita was nicely toasted, and the grilled pork with its accompanying sauce was quite good. We also tried the moussaka, which was fairly good but very heavy due to the large amount of potato in it. Overall, while nothing was mind-blowing, it’s a solid choice for a filling meal.

Food was Excellent!! We tried phyllo with spinach and feta, a sweet version of phyllo filled with cheese and Greek eggs, everything for me was delicious! Brought me back fond memories of visiting Greece and how delectable Greek food is. I am bit disappointed in coffee though, it was too bitter. Location is close to Amstel river, quite scenic route. They have Huge windows, the morning light came flooding in, making whole setting golden and bright. There is some outdoor seating available as well as upstairs. I would recommend this place 100%

They’d run out of pastries by 15:00 on a Sunday. The eggs on toast were good, I’d recommend with the Greek sausage. I didn’t like the acidity of the coffee here
