Weekday mornings are the quietest
Had their ploughman's sandwich which was really good: thick sliced cheddar, crunchy apple, a nice medley of vegetables and pickles, all in a soft thick bread with a really crunchy crust. Couldn't have been better! I also tried their lemon & poppyseed scone with some really nice preserves. It's a great spot for scones in Amsterdam, you don't often find these!! Service was also really nice & friendly, there was barely a wait (went on a Wednesday around 3pm). Loved to sit at the window on a nice sunny day too. Definitely recommend, I'll be returning!
Great bread and great ingredients. Too much sauce for my liking, but overall tasty
Such a cute spot, I stayed in the hostel across the street and wandered into this cafe one morning. I had a flapjack and an espresso and both were very tasty! Service was also friendly and I loved my spot at the bar looking outside
First of all, amazing food! Especially the scones, probably the best in Amsterdam. Also the owner is welcoming and kind. But the rest of the service is lacking. Three times in a row they got my order wrong. I pointed this out, but instead of an apology, they asked if I was sure; the last time the lady even walked away without saying anything. When I pointed this out, I was told that I should have said something. Hopefully, they find some better servers in the future because, for now, they lost a regular.
Really good coffee and sandwich. Nice to sit out side and watch the world go by. Had the beef sandwich with onion chutney which was incredible. Alsoβ¦ coming from the UK, if you wanted a bottle of clotted cream, this is the place π
