Welcoming coffeehouse with handcrafted coffee, espresso & tea, plus breakfast, lunch & pastries....
Friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. The lemon cake was absolutely delicious. Despite Google Maps showing the place as closed, it was actually open when we visited β we ordered on Saturday night around 9:00 PM. A great experience overall, and definitely worth a visit.
This is a nice, large Starbucks, located by the Ferry Terminal in Amsterdam-Centraal Station. The cafe area is modern and comfortable, and it does feel quite spacious, even when busy, which is especially useful as the location can get very busy, being inside the station. It can be a nice place to sit, grab a coffee and admire the views of the water, and thereβs plenty of comfortable seating. The menu here is pretty much the same as all Starbucks locations in the EMEA region. Pricing has been a little higher than in the UK historically, but with recent price rises back home, itβs pretty much the same thereabouts now. I ordered an Iced Red Velvet Latte. It wasnβt the best drink Iβve had, but it was at least on par with other Starbucks locations in the city. The staff were friendly and spoke English in order to take my order, and the service was pretty quick. Thereβs a nice selection of food and merch here, also. Overall, this is a nice Starbucks for sure, which is a great place to grab a drink while at Centraal Station and if youβve got some time to kill and admire the views.
Rock hard pistachio cake! The women at the counter refused to give us a plate even though we were eating inside. She said the dishwasher is not working but there were like 100s of washed dishes behind her. I guess they don't get paid to wash a dish or two. Not their fault. It id the corporate who doesn't believe in excellence of customer service. Also, She didn't ask if we need it little warm. Paid for shit food and ice cold cake. Hate it!
I recently visited Starbucks at Amsterdam Central Station and decided to try their cheesecake. Unfortunately, it was one of the most tasteless cheesecakes Iβve ever had β bland, dry, and completely lacking in flavor. Not what Iβd expect from a brand like Starbucks. Super disappointed.
Probably the Starbucks with the nicest views. Located inside the Centraal Station facing the water front, there is plenty of seating for those looking to get a drink and wait for their train or bus. Staff speaks both Dutch and English. Unfortunately you can't use the US Starbucks app here (shouldn't the app be universal? I wish!) Not being able to use the app is annoying as Starbucks doesn't put their full menu on the menu board so you're not sure what you can order. For example, there is no iced coffee, only iced Americanos and iced lattes. Their refrigerated case was out of of stuff all 3 times I went here. As far as food, they have some unique to Netherlands items such as cheesecake (oddly, the slice with strawberry topping is slightly cheaper than the plain one.) It does get extremely busy due to the location but overall they move fairly quickly. Staff was perfect and the only drawbacks are due to Starbucks corporate decisions that make it difficult to order without the app. Also, because it's the Netherlands, there is no plastic and the paper cups aren't waxed - you need to drink your drink quickly because the cup itself starts to feel like it's getting waterlogged and soggy.
