Locals Coffee

A minimal, cozy and relax café with great coffee. Perfect for a slow morning, working a bit, or just enjoying a really good cup without the rush. And the matcha was really good. Plus it’s really aesthetic.

Wonderful corner cafe with large windows on a quiet tree-lined street - its no wonder the name is Locals - sipping your handcrafted coffee and watching the neighborhood through the large windows - you feel "local". Staff is very welcoming, quick service, we had a latte and filter coffee with a small container of warm milk on the side. The filter coffee was the best cup of coffee I had in a 10-day visit to Amsterdam with notes from both the beans and roasting coming through with each sip. I also recommend the carrot cake slice - if you love frosting this loaf doesn't disappoint with a couple inch high covering of light cream cheese frosting. My partner found a chunk of a carrot as well highlighting the homemade goodness. Recommend reservations on weekends - outdoor seating available - although you would need to be hearty soul to sit out there in the cold wind the morning we visited. Would definitely return next time in Amsterdam.

Great brunch spot and brilliant food! We recommend the eggs benny and the truffle scramble eggs or sourdough toast. The good quality is incredible and so tasty, on top of that the staff were very friendly and quick service. We had to queue to get in but this went down within a matter of minutes - I highly recommend Locals to anyone.

Nice spot with good presentation and fresh ingredients. I had the orange juice and eggs Benedict with avocado and salmon — everything was well prepared, though the flavors were a bit mild for my taste. Overall, a pleasant experience but not particularly memorable.

Good place for brunch. The waiters are friendly and attentive. The menu is not extensive, but the options they offer sound very good. I ordered the eggs with avocado hollandaise sauce and fries. It was delicious and tasty. The eggs were cooked to perfection, a good poached egg. I also ordered a flat white and fresh orange juice.
