I visited this café recently and overall the experience was average. I ordered a french toast, which was actually good and felt fair for the price. I also tried a matcha, but honestly it wasn’t that great. The service was okay, nothing particularly memorable.
Perfect place to have a very good coffee and the most delicious cake! Super friendly staff and love the atmosphere of the cafe! I highly recommend this place
Havery literally has the best cake and coffee I have ever tasted. Everything was incredible. You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into their creations. What made the experience even more special was the staff. They made us feel so genuinely welcome, (which is exceptional in Amsterdam). The warmth, kindness, and attention we received meant just as much as the cake itself. Thank you to everyone at Havery, we loved it and we’ll definitely be back. Love you guys! 💛
☕️🍰🥐 Best Coffee & Best Treats in Town Harvey in Amsterdam Oost is my daily go-to for the perfect start to the day: a silky oat latte paired with a heavenly chocolate croissant. The coffee is world-class, the pastries are divine, and the vibe? Pure Watergraafsmeer coziness at its finest. What truly sets Harvey apart is the staff — super attentive, genuinely kind, and somehow always one step ahead. They seem to read your mind before you’ve even taken your coat off, greeting you like an old friend and remembering your order with a smile. It’s also incredibly family-friendly. Regulars often bring their kids, who are welcomed with the same warmth and ease as if they were visiting a neighbor’s living room. It’s that kind of place — where everyone feels at home. Harvey is a real local gem. Whether you're a die-hard espresso fan or just in it for the cake, Harvey delivers comfort, quality, and community in every cup.
A quaint place that fits the autumn aesthetic perfectly. Harvey is a lovely café located in Amsterdam Watergraafsmeer, near park Frankendael. A very relaxed and warm atmosphere makes you feel welcome off the bat. The service is great and inviting. They saw us struggling to choose one of their deliciously looking products and swooped in to give some recommendations, they did not disappoint. We opted for the Pistache White Chocolate cheesecake and the Blueberry Lavender one. Wow. The white Chocolate is a clear winner and one you have to try. The pistachio works great with the sweetness of the white Chocolate (I'd recommend sharing it if you're not much of a sweet tooth). The Blueberry Lavender one is very nice as well. A very fresh feel and taste to it, but it sort of reminds me a bit of air refreshers, this has nothing to do with the cafe or the quality of the food, just my brain associating stuff. In true autumn fashion we had a cappuccino and hot choco. Both were great and warmed us up really well. The cafe has plenty of room on the curb which are amazing to sit and watch the people go by. The mixture of some trees and nature and the busy street, creates a well lived and community-like feel. It's a nice place to get a coffee or cake and just have a good time. The service is great as well, very professional and experienced. Price wise it was a bit expensive but standard Amsterdam prices. Truly recommend coming here again! 4.6 ⭐
