Have been here just as a Dutch person last summer and had a good time with a pleasant server. Just tried to visit with my foreign family and we got sent away with a sketch story about necessary membership. Never heard of that before anywhere in Amsterdam or this shop and pretty sure it's just a way to get us to leave.
A chill place. Not crowded, good music, top-notch staff (the owner, an older gentleman in a baseball cap, even said he wasn't entirely sure about the cappuccino π€£, but it was the best cappuccino of my life π). For first-timers, don't go further into the city, come here, take your time, πCinema. For regulars, a welcome change from crowds/time pressure/standing around πCinema.

Unfortunately, my experience was marred entirely by the unprofessional and discourteous service I received from one of your staff members. (Old miserable looking middle aged dude) Upon entering, I inquired about a specific product, a sativa pre-roll. The gentleman at the counter responded not with assistance, but by directing me to the menu and asking, "Can you not read?" This was an immediately unwelcoming and frankly rude way to greet a customer. Hoping to move past this, I then asked if he could offer any recommendations. His response was a dismissive, "I don't know what you like," with no attempt to engage further or provide guidance. A customer service role, particularly in a specialty retail environment, requires a basic level of patience, helpfulness, and courtesy. The individual I interacted with demonstrated none of these qualities. As a customer, I should feel comfortable asking questions and seeking advice; instead, I was made to feel like an inconvenience for doing so. While I cannot comment on the quality of your products, as this interaction prevented a purchase, the service I encountered was profoundly disappointing. It has certainly discouraged me from returning and, I believe, reflects poorly on your business's reputation. I trust you will treat this feedback with the seriousness it warrants. Very nice vibe, artistic coffeeshop, amazing music, polite staff with knowledge about the strains. Would recommend it definitely.
