Cafe de Bazel

We saw this place because of one of the stops from the Amsterdam Light Festival apps for food tours. So we decided to go ourselves and try out the food since they had steak tartare :) This place is very elegant and fancy. The staff were super attentive and very friendly :) We ordered the Steak Tartare, The Fish and the the Steak dish (sorry I forgot all the names!) but everything was so well cooked and to perfection! The fries, man the Dutch can’t really get it wrong ❤️😆 One of the best places for a romantic dinner or if you just want great food! Will definitely come back again ☺️❤️

Housed in a former bank, now the city archives, this quiet café offers a serene spot for conversation. It’s ideal for catching up with a friend. The space is fully wheelchair accessible, including the restroom, and the menu thoughtfully includes vegan options, making it both inclusive and quietly elegant in its charm.

We stopped here for an appetizer and some drinks and the red lentil soup and cheese croquettes were so good! Bloody Mary was amazing too. They have patio seating and indoor seating as well.

Super nice restaurant for a relaxing meal. We stopped for lunch and had the open sandwiches. They were well prepared, a good portion and served quite quickly. They offer gluten free bread that was really nice! The crust was crisp and the bread itself was light and soft. It made an excellent sandwich. I will definitely be back
