Bar Hana is one of those places that feels special the moment you step inside. Intimate, moody, and effortlessly cool, with vinyl records spinning in the background that create a relaxed living room vibe. Itβs perfect for small groups, dates, or even stopping in solo. No hype, just an inviting setting that feels genuine and comfortable. The Japanese cocktails are excellent. Thoughtful, well balanced, and refined without being over the top. Service is warm and welcoming. We had the pleasure of chatting with Leroy, one of the bartenders and co owners. Super chill guy and genuinely fun to talk to, with a real passion for what he is building here. Highly recommend stopping in.
Lovely place! Delicious nigiri π£. Unusual but very tasty cocktails. Nice music. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here.
One of the best value omakase youβll find in Amsterdam. Even with the 3 extra pieces that we got (which I recommend to do) plus drinks and sides, itβs probably still more affordable than most of the basic omakase prices in other places. Best of the bunch were the fatty tuna, smoked salmon, scallops and squid. And everything torched! Cocktails were delicious and were clearly on theme.
We tried this place for the first time during the Omakase evening. It was delicious! The sushi chef was preparing the nigiri just in front of us and his care and kindness towards the clients made us feel so welcomed and part of a special experience. The drinks were amazing and the service as well. We loved so much the music played by the old fashioned vinyls. We will come back for sure!!
The bar is okay, but I am not sure if I would recommend it. Pros: staff is attentive, cocktails are interesting, nicely presented and reasonably priced, atmosphere is good. Cons: even though their cocktail ideas seem to interesting, most of them can be improved flavour- &taste- wise. We liked only 1 them(Yuzu martini). Their snacks are not homemade - you can get the same thing in a supermarket.
