Café Jacob

We had dinner with my partner at Cafe Jacob. The place is beautiful outside. The city is really cold but we were really comfortable. We had a rose and a pinot noit for drinking, both of them really good. However, the food was amazing. The buns (crispy chicken and mushroom) were superb, and we ordered another plate containing fried halloumi, falafels and eggplant croquettes. We were full but we’d love to try the other dishes as well. Highly recommended!

I have liked Café Jacob yesterday, the people in the Meetup group "Midweek Crisis Drinks 🍹 Meet Fellow Expats & Make Friends" and the organization. I have enjoyed the Falafel, the local alcohol-free drinks and the pleasant small talk with the people behind the bar. I guess I will return here with a private unusual tour group of mine later on. Thank you! :)

Cool place for drinks, and ordering through their web app makes it super convenient and keeps the drinks coming. There’s a good variety of beers, and I tried a different one each round. The food, however, isn’t much to talk about and definitely not the highlight. I wouldn’t come back for a meal, but it’s a great spot for a few drinks.

Not usually someone who takes the time to write a review, but this place is 100% worth it! Great ambience and menu, very friendly and experienced service. We are coming back soon 🙌

This is a new(er) cafe in Oud-West. I know it's been here a few years, but still kind of new. It replaced the previous "Dapper". It's a beautiful decor inside and the terrace wraps around from Bilderdijk to Jacob Van Lennepkade, AND up onto the bridge on Bilderdijkstraat. Win-Win! I’ve only had snacks and drinks here, but it’s around the corner from my home and when I walk by the food looks great. The bar snacks are sumptuous though Staff is friendly and approachable. They wait on you immediately after sitting outside. They also have tables on the bridge and it’s one of the most sunny terraces in Amsterdam! Step out of the centrum. Oud-west is where it’s at.
