In general they have great matcha but after visiting a couple of times, i realize their matcha is inconsistent (depending on the barista), sometimes it’s strong with the right shade of green, sometimes it’s too milky. I hope it stays consistent. I like their hojicha as well

Awesome Portuguese-style place — from pastel de nata to a sandwich called Lisbon. Their sandwiches are super fresh and really delicious 🥪 But the absolute highlight for me was the affogato ☕️🍨 — incredibly tasty. I didn’t expect much, and now I’m genuinely considering a daily stroll here just to get it :)
Today I realized that I actually had been going to Cafe Bica a lot the past two months so I wanted to take the time to appreciate you guys. Everything about this place just makes sense. It’s clean cut and simple which makes it SO good. Clear visible menu on the wall, clear pastry display, clean environment, decent amount of seating, simple good coffee, and friendly people. You’d be surprised how many newer hipster cafes in Amsterdam fail to do even these mere basics. Cafe Bica is so refreshing in this sense, I’m really happy a cafe like you guys finally opened in our area. I also highly appreciate the cafe taking the time to train new baristas or making sure to hire experienced people so that I have never paid for a burnt, overly bubbly mess when ordering a flat white here. Anyways big fan, please never change. Maybe you’ll also introduce different beans (stronger tasting ones?) or hand drip when the business gets more into place? But never change whatever you guys are doing now. This is great!
What a beautiful place. Admiring the taste to every little detail, so thought through 🫰🏼wishing this place every success! The filter coffee wasn’t available. Will come back to try the sandwiches (hope a person will use gloves next time or wash hands at least). The baristas needs much more team coordination and training, I’m sure it will come, the place has just opened.
