Wow, I had never had a sandwich that's so horrible that a five-year-old can make it better! We just needed a quick bite after settling at the Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam Hotel, and found this cafe which is about a 5-minute walk. I went in with my family and ordered the Roasted Ham & Honey Mustard sandwich which says on the menu: "warm roasted ham with honey mustard sauce served on a ciabatta" It was just 2 pieces of white bread with some mustard squeezed on, not even spread to cover the whole piece of bread, and a piece of COLD deli meat taken out of a package and just randomly thrown between the bread, and was then cut in half. They didn't even bother placing the bread nicely on the plate. Since my family ordered something a little bit more expensive from the menu, theirs were ok, nothing to write home about.
I ordered ice americano, but after i went home and checked my receipt i noticed i was charged 0.50 more for a latte lol. It was my mistake to not check the receipt on the spot and since the amount was small so not that big deal though. The food was good with reasonable pricing. Also the staff was kind.
it was a bit awkward when we arrived as we weren't seated and weren't sure where to order as the staff didn't really seem to pay attention to our arrival but other from that the food was amazing and i really enjoyed the fries un bitterballen. the prices here are also very reasonable- lunch for two people cost us just over €25 with drinks.
It is a very nice brasserie with all the Dutch specialties. Located very close to the museumplein. Reasonable prices.
We were about to head to another popular brunch spot, but I’m glad my friend steer me into going here! It wasn’t packed and busy. When we opened the door, our waiter greeted us right away! He was super friendly, and took our order right away! My sister and friend both ordered a sandwich (chicken club and creamy salmon), and they both really like the sandwiches. Oh the other hand, I ordered Dutch food (kassasoulve, biterballen, frinkendel, and croquette)… sorry for my spelling, and they were really good too! My sister and friend never had these foods before but they really like them! The prices were cheaper and definitely worth the value! I would definitely recommend this hidden gem place! Lunch for 3 was approximately €45, and we were all full at the end.
