Browsing Maps 🗺️ for breakfast ideas in Amsterdam 🇳🇱, I found Bendito Café, apparently the spot where you could find the best açaí in town. 🤩 We're all açaí lovers in the family so we had to try that. 😋 They also offer pitaya bowls so we decided to order 1 of each. 🙌 The bowls were really beautiful 😍, with lots of fresh fruits and granola as toppings. But... for me it's not something positive 😔: an açaí bowl should only be topped with banana 🍌 and granola. 🤷 That said, the fruits were very good. 👍 Unfortunately, I can't say I enjoyed the açaí as much. 👎 In fact that makes me wonder what the other açaí bowls in town taste like if this is the best one... 🤔 About the pitaya bowl, I really disliked it... 👎 I think there was yoghurt in it and, as you probably already know, I don't eat dairy (well I eat almost no dairy, to be more precise). 😔 The place is quite random and the service was quite slow: I think the server also was the one preparing the bowls. As for the prices, the coffees ☕ we ordered too were quite pricey but the bowls were less expensive than most açaí bowls I can find in Barcelona 🇪🇸, so that's positive at least. . . . Quality & taste: 5/10 Quantities: 7/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Originality: 6/10 Ratio price / quality: 7/10 Service: 7/10 How I felt afterwards: 5/10 Update 12/4/2025 I received this answer from the restaurant: "Thank you so much for your photos and review. Even though it wasn't positive! The pizza you order in America is very different from the one in Italy, even though pizza originally comes from Italy! It's a shame you don't know that and are giving a review based on that. And unfortunately, you're comparing us to a country known for its very high level of service in the hospitality industry. The Dutch hospitality industry works hard, but it's not entirely fair to compare the two directly. It is, of course, your right to share your experience in this way. Thank you again for taking the time to write your review." Since I can't answer this, I'm updating this review: I sincerely don't understand what country the restaurant refers to. And I don't think Dutch hospitality industry is worse than in other country, nor have I written that. I'm actually quite happy with the way I'm attended in Amsterdam. If they refer to Spain, well, the balance would be in favor of the Netherlands cause I'm actually saying that the bowls in Bendito Café are cheaper than in Barcelona on average. If they refer to Brasil, well unlike pizza, açaí is frozen pulp of a fruit and guarana juice. AFAIK, both come from Brasil so I'm sure the same flavor can be achieved and I've already had good açaí in Europe. Finally, my rating of the service in Bendito Café was rather positive. What I didn't like much were the bowls themselves. That's just my feedback after that visit. Maybe others would like them better. Or maybe I myself would like them better another time. I just didn't like them that time, no big deal.

Juices taste good and healthy. Food is a bit disappointing- my avocados were not ready and super hard to eat. It took about 30 minutes for plates to be delivered although the cafe was quite empty. Staff is very friendly and courteous, atmosphere is nice and welcoming. Would love you guys to improve service time and quality of food, so price/quality ratio improves.

Loved this place! The fruit bowl was super fresh and full of flavor — the kiwi, berries, and strawberries were perfectly ripe. Beautiful presentation and really tasty. Highly recommend!

Honestly the best açaí bowl in Amsterdam! And I have tried many. My family and I love this cafe and are regular visitors here. As well as an incredible açaí bowl, the coffee is great and they have a really good range of gelato with generous serves. This is the only place we go for ice-cream on a warm day!

Nice corner cafe with quite a lot of healthy food options. The waiters are also super friendly. My friend have the bowl and it looks good and delicious. Some of us ordered the Natas and it was definitely worth the wait. It was freshly came out from oven and so creamy and delicious.
