I stumbled across this café while exploring this part of Amsterdam on Monday afternoon 19th January 2026. On entering I received an extremely warm welcome and ordered a delicious, well-presented club sandwich with a small soup and tea – ideal for a chilly Amsterdam day and having arrived on Eurostar from London with only a modest breakfast earlier. The premises were light and airy - yet cosy - and it was frequented by locals. A superb counterpoint to the touristy venues of more central locations in the city. I went back on Tuesday 20th morning and was not only welcomed but recognised from the day before and had a superb coffee and tasty cake. I would have liked to have visited again during my three-day stay but meeting up with a friend took me to the other side of the town. Worth a visit if you are in this area and only a short walk from the Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) and Brouwerij’t Ij – Proeflokaal de Molen brewery, bar and windmill. When I’m back in Amsterdam I will certainly aim to return here.

Lovely Breakfast. Fantastic mix of everything along with a freshly squeezed orange juice, fruity yogurt. Best croissant I’ve had in a long time and scrambled eggs with salmon or bacon. Super coffee. We also tried the good for you breakfast with hummus and red pepper sauce. Also delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Found this lovely restaurant recommended by Frank's Smoke House just down the street. The husband and wife, Max and Anne, take great pride in all they serve... the soups, spreads, and breads as well as coffees and teas. Love the atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant. I will definitely visit again and again when in Amsterdam.

We are obsessed with this place! Every time we come to Amsterdam we have to have brunch here. The food is 11/10 so fresh. There’s not many good food places in Amsterdam, a lot of overhyped places too but this place stands out for sure. Can’t wait to visit again.

October 2024 A pretty large place nicely located. Just went in for a flat white and a piece of apple pie. Had the impression the Apple pie was not freshly baked and had been frozen before ... tast was oke. Staff was attending very friendly and really fast. Ordering by QR code a real advantage.
