You cannot go to Amsterdam without going to a cheese shop 🇳🇱 Like all of them the prices are a little high (cca 15€ for one gouda) but there are actually many discounts for different cheese baskets. But mostly, it’s delicious! Lots of free samples to help us choose and nice staff. The shop itself is lovely and clean, very well presented. I highly recommend the Gouda with mustard and also the one with garlic and herbs 🧀
We went to quite a few cheese stores where they had cheese tasting but this place offered the most generous tastings ever. Id say every single cheese type had their tasting plates. The Owner was very nice and even provided us with cheese papers after we purchased their cheese for the cheese keepings. We even tried cheese pesto something new that we never tried before and surpisingly they were great!
I had an absolutely exceptional experience at the Amsterdam Cheese Company! Quality of Products: The variety and quality of cheeses are simply outstanding. Each cheese I sampled was rich, perfectly aged, and bursting with flavor. Whether you prefer mild and creamy or bold and tangy, there’s something for every palate. Their signature aged Gouda, in particular, is a masterpiece—deep, complex, and unforgettable. Customer Service: What truly impressed me was the perfect balance the staff managed to strike. They were never pushy or intrusive, giving me plenty of space to browse at my own pace without feeling watched or pressured to buy anything. At the same time, they were remarkably attentive—almost as if they could sense exactly when I needed help. The moment I looked around or seemed unsure, someone appeared right on cue, friendly and ready to assist, yet always in a very subtle, unobtrusive way. It felt effortless and natural, never overwhelming or sales-driven. This kind of intuitive, respectful service is rare and made the entire experience incredibly pleasant. Store Atmosphere: The shop is beautifully arranged, wonderfully clean, and filled with the irresistible aroma of artisan cheese. The layout makes it easy to browse, and there are plenty of samples to help you discover your favorites. Value for Money: For the level of craftsmanship and authenticity you get, the prices are more than fair. The cheeses are packaged with care, making them ideal for gifts or for taking home on a trip. Additional Products: I also loved the selection of complementary items—mustards, crackers, spreads, and gift sets. Everything felt thoughtfully selected to elevate the cheese-tasting experience. Overall Impression: This store is an absolute gem and a must-visit for any cheese lover in Amsterdam. The combination of superb product quality, exceptional service, and a warm, welcoming environment easily earns a full five stars. I can’t wait to return on my next trip!
If you want to taste real Dutch cheese, be sure to stop by Amsterdam cheese company. Great tasting cheese by real people who really care about the wellbeing of their animals and environment. In addition to the various types of cheese (which are really very many), the offer also includes many types for gifts and souvenirs for different age categories. Thanks to the kind saleswoman who allowed us to taste several types of cheese, they are really amazing. We recommend Herbs cheese tasting gift box. More on @larmarluxury.
As I wandered through the bustling streets of Amsterdam, I stumbled upon a haven of cheese, a veritable utopia for all cheese-lovers: the Amsterdam Cheese Company. At first, I was hesitant, unsure of what awaited me inside this unassuming shop. But as soon as I crossed the threshold, I was transported to a different realm, a world where the senses reign supreme and cheese is king. The aroma of cheese hung heavy in the air, a pungent and inviting scent that beckoned me forward. As I approached the counter, I was greeted by a smiling cheesemonger who offered me a taste of their wares. I sampled a morsel of Gouda, and was instantly transported to a place of pure delight. The cheese was creamy and smooth, with a nutty flavor that lingered on my tongue. But that was only the beginning. The cheesemonger offered me a selection of cheeses to try, each one more delectable than the last. I sampled a smoky cheddar, a tangy goat cheese, and a sharp blue that left me breathless.
