Patisserie Bistro Joseph Brot

Well, it's good but the cake was kinda so thinly sliced that I almost felt pitiful to have a side shot picture. And for this price it's actually ridiculous how little you get (1.3cm cake size). Espresso was ok but quite sour blend. I was going because of the hype and I must say I am disappointed and wouldn't go another time. Maybe the bread is better but the quality for price rating is only 5/10. Know better spots for better quality at lower prices.

Super nice cafe to sit in, but it gets busy. The waiting staff are mega friendly and were very patient with the way I destroyed German grammar. There are a few vegan options and the one I had was outstanding.

Wanted to love this place as I was excited to see so many vegan options. However, the porridge was so awful that I couldn’t finish it, let alone get half way through. I don’t know how it’s even possible to make bad porridge - but it tasted strange, the citrus just didn’t work with the flavours, and consistency was very much like sloppy baby food - so as I mentioned while I didn’t think it was possible to stuff up porridge, they managed to succeed at making a very bad porridge. To add to this, my husband ordered florentine eggs. We were surprised to see florentine egg soup served, with 2 pieces of English muffin & 2 small poached eggs floating in a sea of florentine sauce. 4/10 food - but the staff were nice and the ambience was great too.

We ordered 3 Apple Strudels with vanilla sauce and it was too cold to eat. The waitress wasn’t so friendly and said that the recipe now is changed and it’s served now cold!! After we insisted to re-heated ithem we managed to have at least warm apple strudel!

The restaurant offers a nice place to get breakfast. We were seated quickly, which was great. However, the service of the food itself was slow. After waiting for over five minutes for our croissants, I was anticipating them to be super hot. Unfortunately, we received two cold croissants. While they were tasty, the temperature was disappointing and not what I had expected after the wait. Overall, it's a good spot, but be prepared for cold croissants.
