Le Monceau

I went here with my friend and boyfriend. My friend and I had a tea and a cappuccino, but when my boyfriend decided not to order anything he was asked to leave. We protested but they insisted that they have a minimum spending policy and he was occupying a seat that could go to a paying customer. The place was half empty and as he was leaving my friend and I asked if we should move tables (from a four seater to a two seater) and they said no (thus nullifying their argument about space). The service besides this was not good. The waitress forgot our two drink order and it took about 15 minutes before it arrived after she asked the second time. Note. We are all French speakers so this was not a language misunderstanding.

Very cozy place and food is the best in this area ❤️. All is good and don’t miss the famous real Tiramisu home made 😉

We had already been here with the family one year ago, having a good time having dinner 2-3 evenings. This year even though we stayed in a slightly further hotel we came back, everything was ok on the evening of the 16th, a little delay in the service (more than a little to be honest, over one hour between starter and main dish). So we came back tonight. A disaster! We ordered two pumpkin and chestnut soups, they arrived cold and when we told them they told us they would bring them back and they reheated them in the microwave and didn't remake them. Several errors in the service (order taken at memory), but above all the two Argentine steaks that were supposed to arrive medium cooked were wooden! Tough!!! and one in particular was burnt/charred on top, I showed them they brought them back, then the manager came back to me in an agitated tone telling me that it was fine and what was wrong! putting the plate back in front of me because for him it was fine!!!! unacceptable!!!!! in short we had to argue and only when I said I was disappointed that after coming back for 3 nights consecutive they served me a dish like that, they remade the steaks rare this time, but the arrogance and lack of courtesy ruined all the good things done the previous times. I will never set foot in there again! Highly not recommended!!!! PS. the manager every other night was someone else, maybe they would do better to never change him!!!

We just visited for a quick drink. And they have good selections. Had gin tonic only but we were impressed with the interior design.

Phenomenal. Enjoyed the Cambodian Pork with Carrots and Potato special the other day - it may have been the best tasting dish I’ve ever had. To top it off, the service was gracious and friendly. A terrific casual spot.
