Weekday mornings are the quietest
A total hidden gem. It’s the kind of spot you need to know about to find, but the reward is a quiet, intimate atmosphere far from the crowds. The quality of the dishes and wine is superb, and the service feels incredibly personal and genuine. Just remember to plan your visit for the work week, as they are closed on weekends.
The staff member spoke very good English and kindly translated the menu for us. We ordered soup, pork rice, sea bass, and dessert. Every dish was delicious, and we were very happy to enjoy the food. We would love to come back!
We stopped here after a visit to the National Gallery, wanting to avoid touristy cafes and wanting lunch before moving on with our day. The house made pastas were perfectly prepared - gnocchi & linguini. The sauces were magnificent and the presentation was elevated. We were so happy with the meal, we actually shared a dessert (a house made peanut butter cheesecake) and scraped the plate clean. If I could give more stars I absolutely would!
Ended up in this lovely place by pure coincidence and it was so worth it! The waiter was extremely friendly and then another lady came and very kindly explained the daily menu options to us in detail. We chose the tagliatelle with lemon, spinach and tuna and it was super amazing, flavourful and fresh! We finished with a PB&chocolate cheesecake, which was just as incredible. Strongly recommend!
It was nice to have lunch in a place that wasn’t overrun with tourists. There was some confusion over the availability of mussels at lunch which we saw two other tables order after we were told they weren’t available. The gnocchi with salmon was good but I should have ordered a salad with it for vegetables. My husband had the meatballs and enjoyed it. It’s a cute place and they have beauty/sanitary products in the bathroom which was a nice touch.
