Itβs getting rarer and rarer to find a good spot in London for quality, affordable coffee and lunch, but this cafe is great. Always a community buzz and yet relaxed vibe perfect for chilling and working with a laptop. Music, service & prices are excellent, but the star is the food. Filling and delicious cheese toasties with a refreshing range of additional ingredients. Roasted leeks?! Inspired. And the house pickles take it to the next level. A hidden east London gem.
What a lovely little sanctuary this place is. Wandered past. Wandered in. Wonderful.
I started a new job working nearby and just discovered this place - excellent food, not expensive, lovely atmosphere, views of the park and it seems like a fun event space too!
I love this spot. I live around the corner and come here if I need to work/get out the house. The coffee is always good. The staff are lovely. There is usually a wonderful exhibition on in the cafe or through the back. There are often cute community drawing classes taking place, or older locals meeting up for a chat. Very wholesome east London vibes.
I came here as a solo-traveller and absolutely loved it! It was lively but still relaxed. There was a group drawing, some students studying and some lovely people chatting. It felt as if I were part of everyday London-life -- exactly what I was looking for. The coffe was fantastic and the offered food looked delicious. The staff was very kind too. I can only recommend visiting!
